报告题目:Practical Examples of Phisical Modeling, and Control
内容简介:The purpose of control engineering was to develop a controller thatfunctions properly just by connecting it. And theoretical research hasprogressed to achieve this goal. However, control theorists have been confusedby the gap between theory and practice. The possible reasons for this are asfollows. Many of the actual control objects of control theorists were limitedto those that can be easily implemented in a laboratory such as an invertedpendulum. And they couldn't do much to develop large-scale real plants andcontrol systems for automobiles and robots, etc.
It is also known that the accuracy of modeling higly affects theperformance of controled system in the actual modeling of chemical plants suchas petroleum complexes and fine chemicals and steel processes. In such areality, it is important to develop a control theory backed by the knowledgeof the actual plant. Looking at the current development of automobile control,we can see that research is proceeding based on this appropriateidea.
The lecturer wolud like to describe some findings on modeling and controlof heat exchangers, continuous re-heating furnaces for steelmaking industry, and chemical reaction processes from the research results. What the lecturerwould like to emphasize in this lecture is that it is important to havediverse knowledge of controlled objects in order to develop good controldesign, and for that purpose, control designers should have knowledge andunderstanding of physical modeling.
